Exploring Off-Road Adventures in New York

New York is a state full of surprises, from its world-class Broadway works of art and musicals to its gigantic baseball stadiums and tourist attractions. But did you know that the state also offers some of the best off-road adventures in the Northeast? From ATV rides to 4x4 trails, there are plenty of opportunities for off-road enthusiasts to explore the great outdoors. If you're looking for an off-road park in New York, there are several options to choose from. Hunter Mountain Resort, Tall Pines Offroad Vehicle Park, Demon Run Offroad Vehicle Routes, Mettowee Extreme Off-Road Park, and Bear Run All-Terrain Vehicle Park are just a few of the popular spots.

Tar Hallow ATV Ride is located east of Hancock and just after the Delaware River from East Branch. This park attracts hundreds of quad bikers throughout the year, especially during the spring and fall events that take place every June and September. Organized group rides at Tar Hallow are perfect for beginners who want to experiment with off-roading. You can choose between self-guided and guided trail rides, depending on your driving experience and ability.

North Carolina's national forests also offer four trail systems for driving off-road vehicles (OHVs), including all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), four-wheel-drive vehicles (4WD) and trail bikes. These trails are marked with symbols that show what types of vehicles are allowed on them, so make sure to select a trail that matches your skill level. If you're planning a night ride, make sure you have a set of lights on your bike: white on the front and red on the back. There are plenty of trails in New York that offer night rides, such as the Albany County Railroad Trail, Bog Meadow Brook Nature Trail in Saratoga Springs, Champlain Canalway Trail, and Zim Smith Mid-County Trail.

Mettowee Offroad Extreme Park is also a great option if you're looking for some 4x4 action.
